What can you say at this stage? He's not well.

It's best for the world that this debasement of leadership, common sense and basic decency ends in November.

I actually cannot believe some of the replies. There are people in there who believe he's actually made that speech.

    What a world in 2020.

Pity the best the Dems can come up with is Joe Biden ffs.

    I don't see his detractors laughing. I guess its true what they say;

Trump and his base are not anti political correctness. They merely wish to change it from being protection against racism and the like to say you can't say anything mean about them.

Saying that a man offended by someone kneeling down is anti PC is quite frankly ridiculous and nonsensical.

I have heard him say he is not unbiased
He does not portray himself as an independent news man

He actually does some good stuff and regularly airs good discussions on robotics/automation and Chinese firms funding American politicians and lobby groups

He may not be everyone’s cup of tea but again he does not say he is neutral unlike CNN which does

An American president, sending out nonsense like that diminishes the office of the president.
The American president should have a certain dignity, now reduced to childish memes.
That is the kind of thing supporters do, absolutely. But the actual president getting involved, only Trump is immature or dumb enough for that.
Unfortunately it won't hurt him, there are enough idiots to lap it up.

    It's garbage

I don't read it. Like to get the information myself.

Sure Trump's Live Press conferences had brilliant ratings. People are watching stuff for themselves these days obviously and live with no media parsing via White House Live feeds. No media needed.

This doesn't help people like Trump as when I watch him live each day for say a month in a row at one stage, I could see how poor he is in many respects.

And his Twitter, almost getting into the mind of the man....well, I'm sure his advisors advise against that as it looks awful in there!

What else can you expect from a pig but a grunt.

I may be making a post about it myself on the internet and adding to the problem (?!) but to be honest its better to try and ignore it as noise at this stage + focus on what he is doing (and not doing) in the job rather than the nonsense like this.

If you are watching his live conferences then you know what you are talking about. Yours is an educated opinion. It's not because the man on the TV or the clip on FB told you so.

It seems to work as a strategy. He almost behaves like inversion of those American Late Night USA TV hosts who slag him off at every opportunity.

But the more they slag him off and the more silly they get, it dilutes the message. Plus it is more free publicity for Trump either way.

Plus the reality is: Trump out of a population of over 300 million people was voted in with thier democratic system. He won. He played the game and won.
    Simple as that.

The only problem is the game is now serious and he is treating it as just a game. Still playing the game-show/tv host in the highest office in America.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

He claims brilliant ratings and that all those papers are "failing" so it would seem most people know what they are talking about. He has also claimed to be the most popular person of Facebook. Most of the Trump stories on here are from his twitter feed.

Can't blame the media and claim that everyone is ignoring the media and watching him.

Yep I know lots on boards do watch the live stuff as I've posted with them as the conference is ongoing.

This constant crying of media bias on these threads is off topic IMO. Media is bias, we all agree. We know the way around it.

I actually find the ones on here who give out about the media tend to post snippets from bias media sources they like to "give context". And are seldom involved in the discussions of the live press conferences. And when faced with Trump's actual Tweets will say, oh well what he meant was, actually let me get a nice media source I like to give you some context :pac: And are convinced we are all watching CNN and reading the journal when they seem to be the ones who are as they seem to know an awful lot about them stations and websites. A lot of projection I feel.

Now let's discuss Trump instead of the well agreed Media Bias.

Biden is the worst the Dems could have picked..

Wasn't Clinton the absolute worst not that long ago. Imagine Sanders was the nominee, he would be considered the worst at nearly 80 and a socialist because we know how much Americans hate socialism. Warren, Harris would have been the worst because they were too female and too outspoken and any little thing would be used against them. Just think what reaction would be if AOC was the nominee, I think conservative media would melt down.

Regardless who the Dems picked someone would consider that person the worst because either they would be too right wing, too centrist, too left wing, too corporate, too white, too black, too hispanic, too Jewish, too old, too young, too experienced in Washington, not experienced enough, too male, too female..

Biden held his own in debates against some of the best debaters in the country like Harris, Warren and Sanders. He won't have any problem dealing with them in an enclosed setting where the moderators not Trump set the tone.

Biden isnt even holding his own in soft interviews with very anti trump media outlets
He is not mentally fit to be president and that is obvious
Warrens identifying as Native American meant she was finished before she even started

But all the rest would have a better chance of winning against trump and I think even though I despise everything he stands for Beto O’Rourke as a young good looking southerner had the best chance

Any chance they parachute Michelle Obama into the ticket last minute and give some excuse about Biden. Make him secretary of state or some other elevated role. She'd be a nightmare for Trump. A woman, a black woman lecturing him would flip him over the edge. Trump fancys himself as a type of Calvin Candie character.

Any evidence that she has sound economic and social policies? Does she wish to continue her husband's bombing campaigns?

I actually think it would be foolish to run anyone who hasn't held office... But just want to point out, none of Trump's policies in general are sound.. He also does plenty of bombings and drone strikes.

I'm not a fan of obama after what he did in flint. I asked the question whether she could be parachuted in. Off course you decide that I'm some sort of democrat supporter and start interrogating her creditentials. If the potus was decided on credentials and policies you wouldn't be looking at the clown thats in office now.

The US dropped more bombs on Afghanistan in 2019 than any other year since the Pentagon began keeping a tally in 2006 but keep talking like it only happened during Obama's presidency.

Who cares? Trump has no policies of note. Americans will continue bombing no matter who is in office. Trump has lowered the bar so far that pretty much anyone would be an improvement. Even if biden was senile he'd be better.

To oust Biden they'd want to have a pretty good reason, just saying we think he's mentally unsound because he misspeaks now and again dosent cut it. Bottom line, like Trump he's the candidate people voted for and it wouldn't go down well with voters to have some secret group overturn their vote. And to parachute in Michelle Obama, I don't think she's ever held elected office or sought elected office. She's never been vetted by voters so who knows what kind of president she could make or what could come out in the course of a campaign.

I think that would be a bad move. Michelle only parachuted in by virtue of who she was married to. I know Ireland loves that trick with thier political dynasties.
But I think American's would see through it and vote Trump in again.

Amazed what poor quality candidates the USA comes up with 300 million people!
Yet they make Danny Healy Rae seem balanced, sensible, and a great orator in comparison.

    This, very sadly, is true...

A vegetated senile candidate would be an improvement...

So hard to believe that the mighty U.S. will possibly have this absolute nut in charge for 8 straight years..

Biden soundly won last few debates. That's why he jumped in popularity and went from rank outsider to walking many states in a 2 week period.. despite spending no money in places like Wisconsin, Mass and North Carolina.
But all the rest would have a better chance of winning against trump and I think even though I despise everything he stands for Beto O’Rourke as a young good looking southerner had the best chance

O'Rourke would have been torn apart for
    1. Being too young, too inexperienced
    2. Too much flip flopping on issues
    3. Too much Hollywood donations

The fact is O'Rourke failed to beat the most unpopular politician in the country in Ted Cruz so not sure how he is beating Trump especially in rust belt or Florida (places where Biden is strong).

    O'Rourke nationally had no support.

    Firstly Biden won zero debates
Bernie was treated as badly this time as in 2016 the dem leadership and their backers don’t want a radical like sanders In the White House

Also ted Cruz is liked in Texas where O’Rourke put up a good show
My point was in a O’Rourke v trump race O’Rourke would have a some chance
Biden has zero chance because he has early dementia and looks old
