What did they expect in fairness building belcamp darndale priorswood and moatview all which are social mainly housing schemes so close together.

They never learned from the tenements and flats in city centre.

But when they first moved people out from town the grannies and grandads held order, might have had drink problems but by and large it was predictable, even with the first wave of drugs in the late 70’s/80’s the grandparents raised the kids and held things together.

Now you have 3/4th generation who’s grandparents are/were addicts and it’s ****ing bananas, entire families where barely anyone has had a legit income and decades of trauma and tragedy- the place in certain areas is ****ed.
Tragic to see.

Sometimes even further, you often see Casino Park/Cherrymount (where K Finn was from) classed as Marino, although I’d consider it more Donnycarney myself.

It's a awful shame what is going on in dublin.

I suppose being around junkies and criminals would make the young kids think it's all normal.

You hear stories every day of stuff happening in the scheme and tbh it's not even surprising anymore, youngfellas are on the pat and selling it at 15, shooters aren't even hard to come by so when u mix all that is a bad recipe, anyways thread is a good read I'll be commenting more
