Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    How's the little guy now?

Just coming back to this for a second.

Would you believe I just answered you about Richo and got a text that a friends dog died the same day of heat stroke, I'm just chatting her now, she's broken.

Like Richo he was an older dog, and like everyone including dogs here in Ireland we just weren't prepared for that heat the other day.

I know we see posts reminding us of dogs suffering in the heat, but you never think it gets this hot in Ireland and just out on walks too.

I'm way too soft to dogs, I dread the day mine go, they're older dogs too (12 and 13).

Time to wake up the dog, I've to trundle to work soon.. You'd swear she was our dog the way she's been staying with us lately!. Pic incoming..

Looking forward to bed later. Although I no longer like sleeping alone. W1sh my o.hwas with me.
I got a splinter in the palm of my hand. That broke the day up a bit.

Prepping for reorganizing my tech desk/home office tomorrow. All in the interest of finding some new work somewhere and anywhere. It has served me well, but a fresh set up motivates me. during all this uncertainty for some of us,

Evening all :) Delighted to hear about Richo Mak :)

Online shopping was my biggest downfall last week but to see all the beautiful packages arrive this week has made me very happy :D

I have three packages floating about in the ether, not sure if I'll ever see them.

Oh my package from the states arrived after it's holiday in dublin, nothing exciting so underwhelming tbh.

I've around two "lost" packages sent in early May within Ireland. Small enough stuff that I can resend, but at an additional cost. Not even certain the recipients care at this stage. Really wish I had a time machine. Wasn't life so much better in very early March? How bat**** crazy has it gone since then.

Just spent a small fortune clothes shopping . Looking forward to receiving my purchases and eyeing up other bits and bobs to augment the new outfits once my finances allow. Slightly concerned by the stories on here of packages going AWOL, though.

All my Curry's deliveries got here on time. Also got a Golden Discs and Guineys delivery fairly promptly. A Pigsback delivery on time too. My own internal, standard post stuff has been a disaster though.

I wouldn't worry too much, I've bought stuff that has arrived. It's maybe wise to spend a little extra on the shipping though

You'll probably be fine anyway. :) Unless you bought from China, those packages aren't coming any time soon.

I receive about 3 packages a week from the UK and sometimes China, and the uk packages (both clothes and cosmetics) are always on time. Don’t worry too much.

You're all very brave buying clothes online, I'd rather see them and try them on. The effort of returning stuff puts me off.

Maybe I'm an odd shape ...

I am couchside with a beer here in groundhog day.

One of the online retailers had a thing where they would send you a suit a bit like a motion capture suit that you would take a photo of yourself in and it would attach your exact dimensions to your account.
The problem was the suits themselves never fit right so the measurements were worthless. Not sure if it works now.

I rarely shop online but started last week and on a bit of a roll, I got 2 emails today to say stuff has been despatched, it was interesting looking at the orders that were made after a few drinks, nice surprise for myself. 😂

I could never ever consider buying clothes online. I ordered a hoodie with a movie theme once and it was grand along with T-Shirts. But socks, jocks Jeans and shirts have to be seen. The same with shoes!

Yeah, I'd be terrified they'd be really poor quality or wouldn't fit in reality. I'm too lazy to go to the effort of returning them, so they'd languish in the wardrobe tormenting and mocking me until I eventually sent them to a clothes bank in a huff.

The packages from China arrived yesterday and today (2weeks) and 2 packages from the uk (4 days) arrived today and my car tax disc arrived today, one more in the way and that’s me until next week or when my card says Auto Stop :D

Same, although I'll happily buy shoes if I'm just buying the same ones again. I've bought the same brand and model (is it a model?) of boots every few years since I was in my early teens.

Playing chess online for several hours, fatigued but never in danger of being the wiser. Reminds me of that saying, life is like a nah forget it. Now curled up with a can of Arthur, dilemma whether to stream a movie with subtitles. They're great those subtitles, you can anticipate what they're going to say next. Doubles the excitement and halves the guesswork. One of these nights I'll get past the ten minute mark without slipping into a temporary coma.

Way too much. If I stopped I'd probably go into a coma. :D

I've been told they push back the cuticles in a pedicure, that's nightmare fuel for me.
