F2000 bridge to better wifi router

    Hi,

I have a Eir F2000 router and am trying to setup a better wifi router to improve signal. I don't have fibre, it's 100mb through telephone, fibre not available for me.

I bought a Tends AC10 (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tenda-AC10-1200MBPS-DUALBAND-ROUTER/dp/B07DGPYKLP) which seems like it would do the job. But I am actually getting slower & more intermittent speeds and the same level of wifi range. Should this router have a better wifi signal or did I make a mistake?

I have the Ethernet in the F2000 Lan port connected to the Tenda WAN port.
I don't really understand the PPoE setup, I left the Tenda with Dynamic IP when setting it up.

Any thoughts on my router choice and if I made a mistake during setup?

Return that yoke, its junk. They can't even get the spelling correct on their WebUI apparently. A C20i is ok in the uber budget price range but you won't start doing better than the F2000 until you spend a little more. Also you've currently got double NAT by the sounds of things which isnt great.

Right I'll see if I can send it back.
Any recommendations for me, max 100e?
Concrete flooring upstairs might be causing some issues?
