    Hi danjo-xx,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

There is no charge to have the NightSaver meter installed.

With the NightSaver, the day rate is higher than the rate for the 24-hour standard meter. And the standing charge is higher than that of the 24-hour meter also.

The night rate (in effect between midnight and 9am at the moment; 11pm to 8am after the clocks go back) is significantly lower though.

To change to NightSaver, telephone Electric Ireland Customer Service on 1850 372 372 or 01 8529534.

    Kind regards,
    Una

Hi. I am currently with airtricity, the meters I believe are owned by electric Ireland. Problem is, since recent time change, night rate is running into day rate on meter, so bills are much higher. Is there a charge for having this issue resolved with a call out from electric Ireland.

    Hi wally9,

It is ESB Networks who would check a matter such as this.

The process is to arrange a call-out from them via your provider.

    Kind regards,
    Una

Is there a call out charge normally applied

    Hi wally9,

There isn't for Electric Ireland customers, so we assume that that would be the case for you also, however we recommend checking this with your provider too.

    Kind regards,
    Una
