    Hi

I’m hoping someone can help clarify this!

I am trying to send a parcel to Brazil (clothing) I have sent with An Post International and there seemed to be no issue at the time however the parcel has been returned back to Ireland to me with a sticker saying ‘No S10 code’. I have tried again but the same thing happened.

How can I obtain this? An Post don’t seem to be able to provide any information about this.

    Thanks!

Never heard of it until I saw your post... quick google suggests it's non trivial.

Thanks :) But the link is relating to Royal Mail in the UK. I can’t find anything for sending from Ireland

This seems to be what S10 is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S10_(UPU_standard)

It's the first time I've heard of it, but the format exactly matches the tracking number format used by An Post, e.g. AY123456789IE.
I wonder then if all you need to do is send it tracked?

Seems to be a Brazilian issue in that they are applying the rules to every package.

Most countries seem to have no problem with small personal parcels

There are stories going back two years about items being returned from Brazil for this reason.

Tracked parcels automatically have this code.
