    Friday! Rebeca Black.

And thanks RandomViewer, I've that bastard song stuck in my head now :(

Try chewing gum.. seriously... in some people it can eradicate ear worms faster than you can say "I Saw The Sign"

I kinda feel sorry for Rebecca Black.. she was just a kid having a bit of fun, but yeah it's terrible. I think there's a youtube video where she talks about it years later.

Here's a cover of the song "as performed by Bob Dylan" :D

It's amazing what expectations can do.. Dylan's version seems to have a certain gravitas missing from the original.

Most covers are unnecessary. This one doubly so.

Doesnt count, Hasselhoff purposely cheeses everyghing to the limit, anyone ever seen Nick Fury ,agent of shield, has to rate as the cheesiest thing ever

He basically crucified a brilliant song. I would never be that cruel to ask posters to listen to it. Its rumoured the CIA use the song when torturing prisoners, amnesty international has appealed for this blantant disregard of human rights to stop.

    I think itch amazhing.

How is your medication at the moment? I think you should stop taking the yellow pills and go straight unto the big blues ones ( there for your head and especially your hearing) Don't forget to take your enema and at least 3 boxes of laxatives. The sh¡te is suppose to come out off your arse not your mouth

There was a 20th anniversary ‘celebration’ piece regarding Maniac 2000 on TV3 yesterday. I don’t know if I’m jealous or what, you spend a lifetime amassing a compendium of bad taste and some cùnt outdoes it all in one fell swoop by tweakin a few knobs

Depends how you look at it, the song is atrocious but the whole competition is a monument to tack so by sending an utterly terrible song Ireland was just entering into the spirit of the competition. As Eurovision entries go Dustin is probably no where near the bottom ,which is scary in itself. Dervish/John Waters one is worse

Its a bad sign when you can win with a piece of rubber, why didnt the just call it dustin the dildo. I reckon if they would've shoved their fist up a real turkeys arsehole, they have got a better sound, tone, and musical content

    Gold... Spandau Ballet.
It's the only song that I know that I hate more after each airing.
I'll actually make character judgements on people who like it. Not good ones either.

Ah come on now. Gold is a great track. Cheesy and melodramatic but it's pure 80's, well, gold.

"He's in love with you, he's in love with YOU
But love is like a hard prison wall
You could leave me standing so TAAAAAA-AAAAA--AAALLLL

It's bollocks. It's typical McCartney. A mediocre musician, a below average vocalist and a bland lyricist. It's like a friggin' nursery rhyme with 3 chords.

OK I'm going to chime in with my 2 cents worth.

"Don't Speak" - No Doubt / Gwen Stefani
"I Will Always Love You" - Whitney effing Houston.

A big shout out to Mariah Carey's absolute massacre of Phil Collins' "Against All Odds". There was such pain and emotion in his voice in that song and she came along and butchered it with her shoe-horning in extra notes here and there, wrecking it. Geebag.

Also those crappy, random, structureless efforts by Destiny's Child like "Nasty Girl" and "Survivor". Who the fcuk said this was music? And they called it RnB. A pure insult to real RnB.

"I've Got The Power" - Snap (I think). Utter crap. I lived on Long Island when that sh!t was released and every dick was driving around in his Camarro blaring it, thinking he was edgy. Sad times.

Someone mentioned "Are we human" by the Killers. I doff my hat to you sir. It's appalling.

"True Colours" - Cyndi Lauper makes me want to torch a village. Anything by Lauper does.

    Generalise much?

    Jazz ?
    Soul ?
Chuck Berry, Fats Dominios, Little Richard ?
    Ska , Reggae ?
    Samba ?
    Motown ?

A lot of non-black music can trace it's roots back.
