I kinda feel sorry for Rebecca Black.. she was just a kid having a bit of fun, but yeah it's terrible. I think there's a youtube video where she talks about it years later.

It's amazing what expectations can do.. Dylan's version seems to have a certain gravitas missing from the original.

Depends how you look at it, the song is atrocious but the whole competition is a monument to tack so by sending an utterly terrible song Ireland was just entering into the spirit of the competition. As Eurovision entries go Dustin is probably no where near the bottom ,which is scary in itself. Dervish/John Waters one is worse

A big shout out to Mariah Carey's absolute massacre of Phil Collins' "Against All Odds". There was such pain and emotion in his voice in that song and she came along and butchered it with her shoe-horning in extra notes here and there, wrecking it. Geebag.


Also those crappy, random, structureless efforts by Destiny's Child like "Nasty Girl" and "Survivor". Who the fcuk said this was music? And they called it RnB. A pure insult to real RnB.


"I've Got The Power" - Snap (I think). Utter crap. I lived on Long Island when that sh!t was released and every dick was driving around in his Camarro blaring it, thinking he was edgy. Sad times.
