People are so unaware of others it just astounds me. There's a local park we walk the dog in sometimes. It's usually late enough when we get there and there wouldn't be a single other car when I park. I don't know how many times I've come back to the car and there's someone parked right beside me, even though the entire car park is empty except for our two cars... Then it's a major hassle trying to get car seat and buggy etc in if we happen to have the baby with us. I just don't get it. I mean I know technically they can park wherever they want but what's the thinking behind parking right up next to the only other car in the carpark??

It's a little like getting onto a bus and sitting right beside someone even though there are plenty of other free seats. Thankfully those days are gone but it took a pandemic!

I'm sorry Antare but this made me laugh...like alot:p

TA I'm glued to Married at first sight Australia. Uber trash but I love it!

Oh I hate that too but because of a car I bought brand new last year, guaranteed to have some dented banger parked right on top of me. I always park the furthest from the door, etc. but some gob****e will always be parked next to me when I come back.

Don't know how true it is but someone once told me that one of the reasons why people park next to other cars in an empty lot is because they need to use the other car as a guide to be able to park straight in between the lines

I just think that my car is marked and people do it on purpose knowing that I will be seething :p

    Sticky, stinky, slimy hand sanitiser!
Hand sanitiser should be alcohol, peroxide, glycerol and water.
It shouldn't be sticky, stinky or slimy like so many in shops!
    Hate most of them.

Twice lately I have been in a situation where someone came and parked right beside me, ignoring all the other lovely empty spaces, and then I've driven off. I was due to drive off anyway, in both cases. I was wondering how they would cope then, with their car having no friends :D

And I know people can choose any empty space they want, but that did make me smile.

TA I'm sometimes too easily amused.
With their car having no friends :D Brilliant :)

TA mind games with the cat who's on medication. I swear she enjoys ignoring all the prime cuts and bits of cheese we "hide" the tablet in. Meanwhile the dog is cowering under the table thinking every tablet is destined for her. Two types of cheese, a piece of ham, corned beef (I could have told them that wouldn't work), three types of pouches and a chicken leg later... The f*ckin pink tablet is just left there, mocking us.

She's on them for life now too! Sorry puss, too much head fúckery. From now on its straight down the hatch.

Have you ever told them that you didn’t want them calling all the time?

My mother is the kind who would take grave offence at such a thing, it would hardly be worth it to deal with her hostile reaction. :/ I'll occasionally manage to do it with a little diplomacy and she will sulk for a while and make a point of not doing it, then it just slips back...

I have chastised several of my friends for treating their children's homes as an open house. I've even been invited to see the new whatever in a child's house while they are not there. Never accepted citing their privacy.

It gets much worse when you have a baby as then you are fair game. But it also gives a chance to change.

Try to set times when they are not welcome. As they leave say I can't see you tomorrow because I want to get baby into a routine for sleeping, feeding...

    They really don't understand privacy.

Do you have anyone who could gently explain boundaries to them?

If your not happy with it OP you’ve just to tell them.
Some people are happy to have their parents and siblings calling all the time and others aren’t and you’ve to try and get it trough to her and you don’t want her calling all the time and don’t give out mixed messages.

Yes we've just had a baby so I think that's whats making it worse. OH offered to mention it but I think they'd just feel ganged up on. I mean, I love them being here and obviously want my daughter to have a great relationship with them and I don't want to hurt their feelings. Ah I dunno, maybe I've just gone soft (and cranky from interrupted sleep)

What the hell have RTE done to their News app? If that's supposed to be an improvement, I'm not sure I'll be using it anymore

Totally agree with you, I hope Tracey dumps Dean also, its amazing how good looking people start to look ugly when they show their true colours. I'm shocked at the amount of botox/ fillers that most of them seem to have, it must be very popular in Australia, Tracey should sue whoever did hers her face is shocking and she's only mid 30s.

TA that I'm home from work and only fit for the leaba, is it just me or is this week exhausting, I just want the weekend to come so that I can sleep and not set my alarm, no energy to do anything other than sleep, work or eat.

My TA is bad management. Insecure bosses and micro management.

First day back from annual leave.

"Welcome back. What's the update on X account?"
"There is no update. I've been off for two weeks"
"Have you done XYZ and downloaded (new dumb internal tool) yet and done the training?
"No. I've been off for two weeks."
"OK. Get it done by the end of the day, it's a priority"
"I have six client calls and three contracts to chase today. This is my priority if you need me to make my quarter"

Getting a message from LinkedIn saying that in order to 'provide you with a better experience, we will be automatically updating the location displayed on your profile based on information provided previously.'

Now while I couldn't give a shiny sh!te what my profile displays, my TA is that I last updated it around 3 years ago, and they are looking to update my location to a town 45 miles away that I have never been to, so what ridiculous algorithm comes up with this cr@p?

Went out to my car yesterday to go somewhere and saw some guy was parked right on my rear bumper. [...]
Inconsiderate fooker! It'd have less than five seconds for him to park neater and not block me in, and then to be so unaware of what's happening around him....

Had that with an idiot at the school last year. I parked up, and this one comes along and pulls in front of me, and proceeds to reverse back to within a millimeter of my bumper. I beeped at her, but she paid no heed. I got out, and she rolls down the window and chuckles "Oh! I've got a reversing camera! I wasn't going to hit you!".

I pointed out that camera or not, parking right up on top of me meant that I couldn't get out until she moved, and would she not be a bit more considerate? She just gave me this blank look with her mouth open, like when you ask a goldfish to explain General Relativity - the fact that I was parked legally and she was not only on double yellow lines, but had her nose out into a (small) roundabout, which was in the way of other traffic didn't seem to register with her at all either. She had a reversing camera, and damn, she was going to use it!

Couldn't agree more about the Botox. At first glance I thought Davina was stunning but the amount of filler and Botox she can barely move her face. Her personality makes her so very ugly too. Tracey has ruined what was probably a pretty face too. I could talk about this all evening :) oh just to add, spoiler but there's a shocking twist with Sarah and Telv.

My TA is that I've probably TA'd alot of good folk on here by talking about reality TV:p
