Buying for people online. You pay for it arrange the delivery, basically everything. I told my Dad there was a half hour window for him to answer the phone and then when I checked the delivery update it said they couldn't make contact. According to him they were making it up. Then I bought my friend something and he wants it tracked etc even though it didn't come with tracking. I pay for all this fcking stuff and still people moan and complain. Do I have to go around delivering the bloody stuff myself to them. All they have to do is answer their phone or their front door.

We're almost out of calpol and have just entered teething phase. TA I didn't have the foresight to stock up. You can't order it online for some reason. We had a buymie delivery today which wasn't cheap but we are really trying so hard not to go near any shops at all, and our shopper said she could pick up a bottle and didn't. TA now I've to go to a pharmacy to pick up calpol, when we've been so good otherwise! Why can't you get this stuff online FFS. And if I try to buy more than one they'll probably think I'm going to do my kid in.

Can your local pharmacy deliver? Mine does or look for one that will. Pay them in cash or over the phone.

Pick up nurofen for kids too, you can alternate them....ask the chemist for the correct procedure.

Make sure you have bum cream too, mine only ever needed small doses of calpol but their poor bottoms were destroyed.

Trying to read an article online. Yes I accept cookies (even though I know I should stop being lazy and manage them). No, please do not allow notifications. No, you can't have my location. No, I don't want to see your ad. Close ad. No, I will not take part in your survey. Just let me read the god damned article!

Also TA, our builders are back. Did I dream covid? Are the restrictions just a bad nightmare??

Online shopping returns, why do they make it so difficult, I know I won’t be buying with some companies again.

People and media going on non-stop about the extreme-right in Ireland.
We don't have one you fools, media and certain vested interests from outside Ireland are trying to create one by convincing us that we already have one

A list of about 13 activities for my 9 year old to do today for schoolwork. Husband works outside of house. Also have a 6 year old. Trying to maintain a 40 hour working week. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

It's madness. I printed the schedule our school gave for just this week for our 7year olds (twins). It's 4 A4 landscape pages! the 12 year old then has her own schedule (which in fairness she can follow and execute herself).

There's obviously not a chance I'm going to be following it, while keeping down a full time job myself. I did their nuacht with them this morning, then a weather exercise in SeeSaw. Then I sent them out to run two laps of the block in the rain (they were surprisingly eager for this), and let them do exercises with Joe Wicks on Youtube for half an hour. Then I told them I wanted them to destroy the front room with Lego construction while I went for some meetings. I'll do some reading in the afternoon.

I'm taking the school schedule as a rough guide of suggested activities, from which I'll pick one or two each day. The rest of the time will be made up with them playing or being active or doing art (they'll be unsupervised downstairs most of the time, because I'll be working). My only rule is no TV/Devices during the "school day".

TA at trying to cook new food for myself.

I love French toast - one of my favourites. This morning I opted to have it with melted cheese. So I made the toast as I usually do, 2 slices, one cooked at a time, then I sprinkled some grated cheese on top of one slice and sandwiched it with the other slice. Disaster struck when I accidentally rested my finger onto the frying pan, so I spent about a minute trying to run cool water on it, forgetting I left the pan on.

Fast forward 5 mins and I've ended up putting it in the microwave and now I'm eating burnt french toast with melted cheese and a scalded finger.

Final verdict; fúcking delicious. Bitta brown sauce gave it a nice kick.

Now I have a disaster of a kitchen covered in crumbs, egg yoke and sunflower oil, and my clothes stink of burnt food. If my fiancée seen the state of the place she wouldn't scald me, she'd laugh at me.

The RTÉ Hub starts at 10am and has some decent lessons.

Yeah, I said they could watch some of that, but they actually refused. I'll probably work it into the schedule at some point. I just don't want the random YouTube/Netflix/Disney Plus going on all day.

Cbbc also has something similar, it's bite size divided by age group.

Certain words used by posters. I don't why with some of them but there's definitely a few that irrationally annoy me. Some examples would be, yup, saying smallies or little people when referring to children, lil, anyone who uses the likes of gotta, lotta etc. has to be a douchebag. Don't get me started then on the virtue signalling/ Jesus wept/ thread closed brigade. What, did you read that sh!te in boards 101! Bah grumble grumble people bah...

Just when I was coming out of a few hours of pandemic induced pity.........Disaster Struck!!!!!!
I was having a lovely stretch in bed and did something to my foot. Then I fell back asleep only to wake and do the exact same thing!!
It hurts now. I really hope it doesn't become a "thing".

There's a special place in hell for anyone who use the term "virtue signalling". Imagine saying that to someone's face, in real life.

I'd also like to add "disingenuous" to your list.

This touches on something that I really should ignore, but irritates me no end. People thinking they sound clever in an argument by calling Fianna Fail or Fine Gael far right, or the Democratic party in the US far left. There are no mainstream parties in Ireland that are far anything, they're all boringly left or right of centre, which is a good thing. With the Democrats, its just parroting what the president and his posse have been incorrectly stating in order to try and win elections.

I would go as far as to say the democrat party in the US are further right than any party in Ireland.

Will have to tape these as if they start that at 10 they'll never get the actual required work done

    Jesus yes.

I've some weird kind of psoriasis on my feet and shins the last two years and scratching just makes it so much worse BUT THE ITCHY MUST HAVE SCRATCH.

    And now they're itchy again.

    Thanks SO much, Dial Hard.

It's 6.20pm pitch dark in the middle of winter and the birds are singing outside my apartment. They were at it at 3am the other morning and it actually woke me up.

Very strange for this time of the season.

I have that as well. I was shaving in the shower this morning and went over one of my scabs (sorry) and blood flowed freely. It's impossible not to scratch it.

TA arthritis in my hands, so painful and can't manage things even though it's not as cold as it was a few days ago.
