What’s eating bark? Will tree survive?

    Hi folks
    Is this rabbits or something else?

    Any hope olive tree will survive?

    Put a plastic or wire guard around it. Should be fine as long as the damage doesn't complete a circle around the tree.

    Rabbits and deer are the two normal culprits.

    As above, Doesn't look too bad.
    Is an olive tree hardy enough for our winters?
    We had a couple of potted olive trees for a while, so we could move them into shelter during the winter if it got very cold.

    They are frost hardy, but only to about -10. If you are near the coast you should be fine.

    Rub some dirt on the bark this will stop the rabbits
