I’d tend to agree. I think, like most men there’s an air of malevolence and even an element of psychopathy behind this new found power they think they can wield over just about anything that moves if given enough space to manoeuvre. I have an in-law who would be quite well known and an advocate of gay rights etc
But always when talking about a friend or co-workers always describes them as Paul my GAY friend or Orla , she's a lesbian and lives with her partner.
I don't have gay friends.
I have friends who are gay and some openly so but they're friends . That's it . Not straight friends, not gay friends. Just friends .

I'm in my early 40s, and I've gone through many phases. Sometimes I'll be interested in only men, and then, only women. In my thirties, I would have been "proper" bisexual with a sprinkling of both boyfriends and girlfriends. I've also had a threeway relationship a few times with both a male and a female together. That's a messy arrangement, although it's a lot of fun in the beginning. Now, in my forties, I very rarely find men attractive enough to be sexually attracted to them.

I'd say that when it comes to bisexual people, choice is the major aspect. Gay/hetro people tend to be born a certain way, focusing entirely on a particular gender. Bisexual people tend to swing at different periods of their lives depending on who they meet and their own emotional states at the time.

It's worth noting that there is a difference between attraction and sexual attraction. Many times I would be interested in kissing a guy but have no interest in getting sexual with him. Same with women. Choice, and different phases.

TBH I doubt I'll return to having relationships or sex with another male again. I just don't have the interest anymore, and find relationships with women to be far more interesting and satisfying... plus the last few gay guys I met... I didn't like the general attitude and demeanor.
