LG Smart TV - Google Assistant

I bought a new LG Smart TV recently that was advertised as having the Google Assistant voice search inlcluded. When I tried it out it didn't work and a google search tells me it's not actually available in ROI. I've tried resetting and setting my region as UK but still seeing the same issue. Has anybody had similar issues…
