Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

1-0. Much better the last 15 mins, and really good play by Lamela to set Kane up there.

Lamela super there, deserved the goal himself really

    Kane’s passing is incredible.

Very good since the goal, be great to make it count again

One move there a few mins ago from left to right ended in a great aurier cross, was lovely football

Weve started to give up the midfield behind alli, theyre growing back into it.

Sissoko and ndombele not great at pressing up there so dele has to work harder there imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭SuprSi

Not sure how that's not a penalty

    Has to be

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,216 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

Surely. Plays the ball through his legs, and gets brought down. Clear as day.

Great to nhave ndombele and lamela out there *beating* players

Adds another dimension to our attacks

Alli isnt training very hard if he's as out of puff as he looks out there, he hasnt exactly been killimg himself for the hour like

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,216 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

Bale, Lucas and Bergwijn on for Lamela, Son and Dele.

    Almost scored straight away.

Lucas pressing them could be killer

Some cross by bale! Bergy shouldve done better though.

Few chances for bergwijn to show sharpness and quality and so far nope

If the effort tracking back there shows what ndombele has left in the tank he needs off too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭SuprSi

Nice one Harry, lucky again but I'm not complaining!! He's fairly banging them in lately

Really disappointed by him. Hope he gets a goal tonight for his confidence.

Well finished, even with the poor defending from them.

    Decent but not ideal really

Hes in his best run of form in his time here imo

Jose has very particular roles for him and lucas now, neither are ever going to be perfect but theyre each doing a job

Jose says ndombele nor kane seriously hurt, phew

Kane man of the match. He is literally unreal. Lamela is having the best period of his life. Always said that he was pure class(I know what you are thinking) but I literally love Argentinian footballers but he is silky fas well as being a psycho.

Son had some good link up play but he is a shadow of the player he was before Christmas.

Defence was good and aurier got some good passes through which is not like him.

Bale is pure mule and the fact that he is coming good from February on is just the most important thing ever. Mark my words we will finish in the top 4, win the league Cup and finish off with the uefa. It will go down as the best season since 61.

And to finish off with the rap Bale is back.

Is it on tv? I backed Zagreb at 9/1. They are in serious form. Hope I’m wrong but will cash in on my misery if not

I’ve made a small fortune over the years backing against us. Spurs will always be spurs so may as well make money off it. When I lose I’m happy, when I win money I’m not but at least I have a consolation.

I’m as happy as you are with result GS. I like Spurs a lot more than money sadly.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,216 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

I put a whopping €5.50 on Spurs to win both halves, which netted me a cool €17. Rolling in it i am.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,944 ✭✭✭2nd Row Donkey

    I had spurs to win
    Over 1.5 goals
Harry to have 2 or more shots on target
Lamela to get a yellow card

    8/1

Can't believe it was Lamela who let me down.

He used to be a shoe-in for a yellow but not so much recently.

Happy with that result and performance. A lot of positives to take out of the performance. As others have said Lamela is as sharp as I've seen him, rarely gave the ball away and made good use of the ball when he did have it. I actually thought it was Sissoko's best performance in a long time, his first thought more often than not was to drive forward (such a contrast to Winks) and his passing was generally good. They looked useful in the first twenty minutes or so, technically very good but once we got on top they didn't really get a look in. Its all about momentum at this point and if we can get a win on Sunday which I'm expecting we could have a very good end to the season. I actually think the penny dropped with Jose when he brought on Lamela and Moira in the second half against Chelsea. That apparent change in his attitude, together with the brilliance of Bale and Kane has been crucial in our turnaround. And with that everyone seems to have more confidence. Hard to think this is the same team that was so lifeless against Brighton, Wolves, Chelsea etc.
