He's the solid base that has been missing since Dembele. His positioning and use of his body to protect the ball has been brilliant so far. You can see why he was on the books of Bayern.

Happy to see Ndombele play well too. He's the sort of guy who will either end up at Real Madrid or QPR depending on his application. Such a unique talent.

Looks quality alright. Paired with a fully fit ndombele that’s a quality engine room.

Dele for Ndombele. He's had a great game. Really good to see him come good.

Also great to see our strength on the bench.

Yeah the competition is brilliant now

Glad to see foyth signed a new deal before leaving on loan, that's a sign of good intent imo

Can you make five subs now? I'm sure we've swapped out at least that many

Big change from how I felt after day 1 against Everton. I wasn’t feeling at all confident about how this season would go, but what’s happened since then with the transfers and our performances (VARgate notwithstanding) have filled me with confidence.

    COYS!!!

I was getting f**King MARRIED that day.

We (myself, new wife and wedding guests watched the first half the bar while waiting to be called in for the diner, speeches etc). 3-0 up when we started the starters, 3-3 by main course, 5-3 by desserts. Had plenty of man United fans as guest waiving up at me at the top table, grinning like cats while I had a face like thunder.

Utd have never conceded 7 guys. Let's make it happen.

We’d be second in the table only for the decision against us last Sunday. Obviously Liverpool will overtake later but it’s puts it in perspective

This is great, the Europa game was great, but I still think we have been shakey besides

But this could be the platform for a huge change in attitude and expectations

Jesus that three points against Newcastle would have made this some run.

Sickening to think they'll change that rule now, after we got done by it.

PP have a free five euro bet on our game v Utd. I put it on us to win by four or more 80/1.

Your bet is looking pretty safe at this stage! We should have followed your lead.

I know he's gone off, but Son is one of best players in the world at the moment. He's absolute quality, and loves playing football. It's a brilliant combination.

Incredible to think that he could be the third priority for defences playing us once bale is fit

    Unbelievable! Absolutely unbelievable result.
Far better against united away from home.
We looked like we had another gear to go aswell.
Methinks this could be a special season.

Imagine if not for that stupid peno for Newcastle we’d have 4 wins in a week.

8 games in 21 days. Poor loss to Everton, ****e decision against Newcastle, and 6 wins. Plus we absolutely battered Utd.

    Happy ****ing days.

And the Spurs go marching on! What a result!

Hojbjerg and Reguillon look fantastic signings. Ndombele finally looks like the player we hoped he would be. Son and Kane absolutely brilliant as usual. Aurier was great, and probably MOTM for me. Fantastic game all round, even if Utd were shocking.

Haven't been this happy with Spurs in ages :D

That was a great win , was watching , as a Liverpool fan son is a player I’d love to see in our side, he is top class and Kane has been superb since he came back from injury .

How much longer will united persevere with this ole nonsense I wonder ?

Pleased to see Ndombele starting the season well. Think Reguilon was a great bit of business too. Think Spurs are a CB away from doing some special things.

    No Mourinho interview on sky?
Haven’t really talked about spurs post game?
    What’s that about?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,007 ✭✭✭✭2nd Row Donkey

Still scratching my head at Jose's starting team today.

Fair fcuks to him, that midfield trio out played united and Aurier was MOTM so I guess he was on the money tonight

Its all about Utd. Jose will be on the Spurs official Youtube channel any minute now I'd say. They usually very quick to upload

    That’s a fukcing disgrace tbh.

Mourhino speaking time BBC , praising Levy for the squad he now has,
Saying Bale is ready to play

Ndombele starting to show his potential
    Gio to come back
We have a right back, a left back and a back up striker

Team looking like it wants to play and mourhino looking like the manager of old
I’ve not been this confident since the high days under pooch

Cue incoming crash but hey let’s enjoy the moment

Jose spoke to NBC, I think, not sure what happened there

This made me smile (on a good way), but let's not get carried away.

The EPL is a bit bonkers at the moment and we are still capable of taking a good hiding ourselves.

Had to switch off Sky whem watching the match and watch on a different station. Its was all about utd, you would swear there was only one team playing. It was not as bad on the other station and at least Lee Dixon did say that we have to stop talking about utd and give spurs some credit.

We won't even be first game on MOTD!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,949 ✭✭✭SuprSi

Wow, what a result! My 2 favourite goals were the 3rd and 5th (can't believe I'm even saying that!). The 3rd, Utd were dicking around with the ball in the box but it was pressing and a tackle by Kane, a pass from Sissoko through the legs of Ndombele to Son, with a brilliant pass to Kane who finished superbly. Great team goal.

And Aurier's was brilliant too, the movement and final pass by Hojbjerg was superb, as was the finish. Great performance.

Not after what’s just happened, we won’t. I must visit the Man U and Liverpool threads for a laugh.

As a utd fan i was all up for jose to an interview. Some smashing we got.

Bale in top form on the way back could be lethal.

Lamella should of been off no doubt as he started the tussel along with martial.

With a fully fit squad ye boys have a interesting season ahead. Dangerous
