Yeah I am not happy. Hell have Son and Hojbjerg helping him but Reggie gives us so much on the counter as well. Maybe that's a sign that this is going to be more backs to the walls as usual

Still enough quality and steel there to get a win though.

Strange decision to start Davies. Reggie didn't have a great game on Sunday but has been playing well and adds pace to the back four. I think Liverpool are there for the taking, they are conceding goals and the front three haven't been playing as well as last season from what I've seen of them. I think Jota is a big loss to them. Having said that I don't think Jose's starting 11 is a positive selection and looks like a draw is what he would settle for tonight. So I think this could go either way but given our record at Anfield and the team selection I would settle for a draw. COYS.

I think we all need to stop seeing a player coming out of the first xi as them being "dropped" tbh

Jose manages per game, tactically, to get results on the night.

If he reckons Davies is the player for this evening's game then let's see how it goes.

I agree Reguilon is the better player and gives you more going forward, but he also gets caught forward. No harm having a limited player who remembers his first job first

Speaking of attacking full backs, be nice if KWP grabbed a winner here

Not saying he's been dropped or anything but it gives a clear view as to Mourinhos mind set. Now he was never going to go gung ho but it takes out a big attacking threat. And considering we only attack with 4 that's a good chunk.

Most worrying for me is that Davies has not o ly lost his legs. He isn't as good in 1v1s anymore either. With TAA overlapping Salah cutting in I'm fear Davies could get caught between two minds or try and cheat and steal a yard.

Anyway. Still optimistic! COYS!
