Prepared??? One would have to be delusional to not have accepted losing every single match between now and seasons end. That's the only way you could end up mildly happy.

The Most spurs thing that could happen now is assuming we're in the final and losing heavily to glimt

Lads I’m gonna say it.
If Ange gets us into the final and then wins the final he will be an absolute hero as we will have won our first trophy since 2008- I don’t care about the CL as we’ve been there more often then not including under conte etc.

However he has to be got rid of as this setup is absolutely shameful.

Also I’m gonna say Vicario was shocking with that 1st goal- Jaysus.

For the last while I haven't understood a lot of Ange's decision making and the 'coaching' is not what it needs to be. But two takeaways for me last night were-Romero is a liability to the team, he could have been booked once or twice before he was and his defending is getting more and more suspect. Tel ran at the defender more times than Son has done probably all season. Not too sharp in front of goal but refreshing to see a winger attack a full back. God knows what sort of team he'll put out on Sunday. Vic's confidence can't be great so Anfield could be a real test for him.

The fact that results like last night are accepted and tolerated at the club is whats bugging me. 18 defeats in a season so far and very likely to finish 4th from bottom is no where near acceptable. I don't care what SF were in of some second tier European cup competition, whats being produced on the pitch is not acceptable. Another big clear out needed and it cant come too soon.

Romero should be first out the door. When he wants to be he's a fine defender, and I've no doubt he'll play well in the remaining Europa games. But, his attitude this season has been a disgrace... blatantly not arsed half the time. This is a vice captain... when guys like him are tolerated the culture rots away. Looks like he'll be off to one of the Madrid teams, funny game.

I'm very hopeful the only reason this season is being tolerated is that the arrangement for the sale of the club is a done deal. Recent executive changes could be in preparation for this? Perhaps this is where my own delusional optimism is seeping through. Others hope we will win a game. I hope they've sold the club. I guess we all have hope in our own way…

Ot actually wasn’t the worst performance. Forest are a horrible team to play against. Cynical bodybuilders who try to hit on the break and defend with 11 in the box. If you go a goal down you are in trouble. They will sink without trace when they have to do it twice a week next year.

That said, our performance was still only about 75% of where it should be. Waiting until Forest have a two goal cushion is fatal in the first place, the slow sideways passing is probably good for the Opta profile completed passing % but is a compete waste of oxygen. Pass, move, let the ball do the work was, and always will be, the secret to unlocking defenses.

With a bit of luck we could have got a point. In our defence we were still putting on the same effort at the end. Shame it wasn’t 100%.

I don’t share the optimism about Tel. There’s clearly a player in there when he runs at defenders in open spaces. When it gets crowded though, his brain melts. His slash at the ball when teed up by the defender was symptomatic of all his games so far. I’d take him for 25m, but no way is he a 50m striker. A younger, Werner with more potential to improve.

When the figures mentioned for Tel are put out there it really shows how much money that would be needed to get a handful of proven players into the team which is so badly needed.
