I missed it first time round and never got into it after that. The kids have all watched the american version and love it. They would.

I see it's on Netflix and will put it on my playlist.

Go for it, I watched the UK one first, loved it, then watched the US version and actually thought that was even better. Takes a couple of episodes to establish the characters but the camera work is great capturing scenes.

I don't like the way Colm Meaney said they have developed gluten free over the last year or so. You are either gluten intolerant or you are not. Its not some fad its real and means a big change in your diet and what you can eat. Dam you Colm you have got me angry now.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

A ship’s entertainer, so used to being on board for long periods.

Well she did say she has been on the ship for 28 days

Anyone been on a cruise? Sounds like a holiday from hell to me, a floating prison.

Invite her back every week when she gets off the ship like a good man Ryan. Thanks

Gervais' 'Life's too short' episode with Liam Neeson is absolute gold..

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqA577_IoBk

the outtakes are just as good

It's amazing, I don't know how many times, I've watched it over the years. 5 minutes of comedic gold.

A friend of mine now close to 70 spent most of his life playing electric and double bass on cruise ships. Did his last one last year. Lucky man. He could be stuck on one now.

That's a strange point of view you have there. Essentially like saying people should only be vegetarian if they have a meat intolerance...

Could we crowd fund a Boards.ie ad for a slot on LLS show purely for the craic?

Technically I believe you pluck the strings of a harp rather than pull. Also pluck would improve the quality of any potential innuendo you may need to push.

There's about 9,000 charities in Ireland, there will be a massive cull of them when this passes.

Its an underrated little series. The ones with Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp are brilliant too.

I just watched the Liam Neeson one again and it just never gets old. Has me in stitches every time.

In all honesty, a lot of them charities need to be culled.

That song used to annoy my mother no end, she always thought it completely biased “only a woman’s heart” and should be banned :D

Its because some people see it as a fad when its not that. I have no problem with someone not wanting to eat meat and be a vegetarian but being gluten free especially in the middle of a crisis when you don't have to be is just stupid and its not cheap either. I don't know the full story maybe she whichever one it is is ceoliac as well or maybe they are just doing it because they feel healthier that way.

    Peace and long life.

If they can't give their child a breakfast in the morning they should have the child taken off them

I never realised how much Irish women are into Tony Holohan until this thread. Now I know why Oliver Callan did his Aoife & Siofra sketch about it earlier

    Taking children from their parents.
We tried that years ago, didn't work out too well.
