Go for it, I watched the UK one first, loved it, then watched the US version and actually thought that was even better. Takes a couple of episodes to establish the characters but the camera work is great capturing scenes.

I like the American one and it is really well done. They managed to capture the essence of it and make it work.

I prefer the UK one though.

But both definitely worth watching.

You’re copping out there, the children are victims. I probably like yourself grew up in a home that provided a environment, I’m lucky to be able to do do the same for my kids, however there are kids who don’t have that, but hey you judge the parents who can’t and not the ones who don’t.

Quite surprised at this comment from you, There is professional assesment from bernardos workers before they take a child on, its very strict and trust me those that need it get help, to be honest i think this lockdown has made people very bitter, including the chat on this forum tonight, all doom and gloom.

Lift your hearts and spirits folks, just try to help those who need it and not question the professionls who say they need it.

Working in the libraries I came across very neglected ted kids. One 9 year old came in sans breakfast with a baby less than a week old in her arms. She said her mother and boyfriend were hungover in bed, so she was looking after the newborn. Turned out they were involved in the drugs scene. There are people who should not have kids. Incidentally that starved girl turned out beautifully thanks to her own resilient personality and fortitude, she was a naturally very caring type and studious at school. Sometimes staff had to report done very serious things to the authorities.

But the question needs to be asked, if the parent/parents are blowing the cash on drink/drugs/Sky Sports/EyePhones while their children suffer malnutrition then that needs to be investigated, not asking this question is as bad as the abuse.
