Are Greens as threatening to economy as SF?

Two items in the Sunday papers today. One, Greens will demand 7% annual reduction in emissions. To do that we will probably have to shut down construction industry and cull the entire cattle herd. Someone should perhaps tell the Greens that this country does not have any major polluting industries - we don't have a chemical industry, auto-manufacturing industry, steel industry or mining industry to speak of. Little Ireland is not the problem you absolute m****ts. Virtue signalling is not so good when peoples jobs and standard of living is reduced. If we just told everyone to sit in the dark and cold during winter we could get even further reductions!

Secondly Varadkar wants to offer Greens the Transport portfolio. Kiss goodby to M20, M4 and all other road building projects. But more importantly road building is the key to unlocking house building. This could not be more obvious. No roads mean a lot fewer houses getting built.

FF & FG should just go in with Independents and stop bending over backwards to accommodate the lunatic Greens and left.

    No, not at all

The greens aren't Marxist, they are not populist, they are not opposed to the free market , they are the one left wing party in this country i could vote for

Sounds great except that their policies would cripple the country's economy.
