    Hi Lads,

I'm back looking for a replacement for my Samsung 486400. This TV sits in a big bright kitchen and is used mainly for Netflilx & Plex.

The new TV needs to support Plex & Disney+ and have a Satellite tuner.

I'm sure there are cheaper TV's available that would be better than what it is being replaced but the two listed seem to have good panels, OS and remotes etc.. However if you think there is another model from either Samsung or LG that that would fit the bill and be better value then please shout.

Finally which of the two above is better in your opinion?

    Ray.

    Hey Ray.

    Thanks for the post.

    Two both excellent TV's.

It is a hard choice between those.
The QLED will give the slightly better image but the SM8600 will have the better contrast of the two.

There is a 3rd option which would be the one to go for the LG 55SM9010

I'll drop you a PM with the price ;)

    Hi Lads,

I dropped a pm yesterday with query on the B9. However I'm now thinking the Q85 would work better for me with the single cable connection. I'm ready to buy so looking for a quote on the 55" Q85 please.

Just updating this thread to it's conclusion.

Took a while but I finally decided on the 55" Q85. Deciding factors were the single cable to the One Connect box for a really clean setup, Ambient mode and no concerns re burn in.

Paid for it on Monday afternoon and it was setup and ready to go by 11am on Wednesday morning.

Usual excellent service from the lads in Richer Sounds.
