16kg bags of white or brown flour for €9.99

Seen these in Aldi and Tesco recently, also massive bags of rice too, initial thoughts I had on them was that storage might be an issue for some though?

The only realistic place I could store them packs would be in the garage/workshop but that's not Ideal (might attract vermin among other reasons)

    Good offer though.

it looks like a great piece of kit

Agree it looks nice but I’d say it’s end up 90% of the time getting left to rot in the bulk of Irish gardens within months. Sure we have a sh1te couple of days again now showers of rain, how many are bothering to cover stuff.

The rice is better value in their standard 1kg bags, different brand, but it's rice so.....

At €169.99 is this considered a bargain?

Yeah. Branded ones probably cost double.

Chances are these won’t be on sale, lidl had similar items recently and there were queues of 200 people waiting for them

They've been selling all their other garden and outdoor stuff as normal.

If only Aldi did online sales here, you may not have to Q for an eggchair!

people were queuing from 4:30 in mitchelstown for the egg chairs and one person bought two and chucked both into a horse box and left before the shop even opened at 7am lol, they had 7 in stock and it is on red fm and the woman said it was pure chaos inside fighting over the parasols

What sort of people queue for a chair at 4.30am. Always amazes me how people's minds work.

It's kinda logical, you stand for hours to get somewhere to sit down. :D

People with sad lives and the inability to get their priorities right.

Most of those garden specials are utter junk.
Stuff will fall apart or rust after a few years.

woman on the radio was sooooo annoyed when she heard they were gone before the shop even opened :D made good listening

Tis only a chair like. Money would be better spent on buying a chicken coop and a pair of hens.

At the risk of asking a stupid question, how did people buy them if the shop wasn't open? Or are you talking about staff getting them?

Aldi have pulled the paddling pools on sale this week given the house pipe ban. How socially responsible of them lol

  • Moderators, Business & Finance Moderators Posts: 6,499 Mod ✭✭✭✭Sheep Shagger

Good bit of hardware and outdoor stuff in store today including fire pits etc.

The water park/ pools that were withdrawn when the hose pipe ban was on are back next Sunday, 26 July.
