    Am I reading this right?

    https://www2.hse.ie/services/births-deaths-and-marriages/how-to-get-married-in-ireland/how-to-get-married-in-ireland.html

There are exceptions for people who are already certified to be married.

There will be new "3-month notice" forms issued but they say:

When the pandemic is over and normal service resumes you will need to make an appointment with us to attend in person to present the documents listed on the marriage checklist. At your appointment you will need to sign a declaration that you are free to marry. You will also need to pay the notification fee.

Please do not make any further arrangements to marry until after the pandemic. We do not know how long it will take for services to return to normal after the pandemic. It will be possible for you to make an appointment to complete your notification in person after the pandemic

This impacts several people I know (myself included) who were planning on at least signing some papers.

One father I know (I'm to be his grooms man!) has a baby daughter who he currently has no parental rights over should his fiance (the mother of the child) pass away during this.

Like, I can understand the idea "you cant have a big shindig celebration" but why not do the clerical book-keeping anyway!?? It has legal impacts (parental rights, inheritance, pensions, widows allowance, property etc etc).

Am I reading this wrong? Its extremely poorly written but the jist seems to be if you dont have a cert already, they are simply not issuing them until this is over.
