Could my MacBook Air run an external monitor?

    Can anyone tell me if my laptop could power an external monitor for working from home via Citrix? If so, can anyone recommend a good one?

    You would need a thunderbolt to hdmi adapter most likely

    No, a monitor will have its own power supply

    Yes, but does the amount of laptop Ram count? Does it need to be high spec to run a modern monitor?

    No, once you connect the monitor, you will be able to use both, either extended (ie. one screen leads into the other) duplicated or just the monitor. But as the other poster said, you'll need that adapter.
