Any tips for where I could pick up a decent coffee machine today with the limitations during covid 19. I only drink my coffee black

Spent few days trying to decide the same.
Depends what type of coffee you like, for me I drink black espresso or americano and nothing else. A lot of people here like the aeropress which is cheap but from what I can work out is somewhere between a filter and an espresso.

I decided to get either an espresso pump with a grinder or a bean to cup machine.
From what I can tell the bean to cup is a lot simpler to use but a more complicated machine so more maintenance and possibilities of failures.
The pump with grinder is more work but you have a greater degree of control over the coffee you make as you can set how fine the grind is.
I was tempted to go with a delonghi bur grinder and an amazon espresso pump for about 100 all in but decided to go to the top of my budget instead.
For what its worth I decided on the following:
delonghi dedica or ec 685.m 149 euro

graef cm 800 grinder 113 euro
    https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00CS2DAEG/ref=pe_3044161_185740101_TE_item

    total including delivery 288.74

I went through something similar recently. Started with a reasonable budget and did my research... Ended up blowing that budget entirely...

I went for a Sage Bambino Plus (free bag of fresh coffee included and free shipping with €100 off)

I also picked up a Sage Smart Grinder for €160, but that offer is over.

I'm impressed with the grinder Balmed Out got above... Will have to do some research on it...

You can also do pour over coffee for a very reasonable price, with Chemex etc.
