We've started to grow some turnips from seed in a seed tray and have kept them inside at night and put them out during the day, but they are very "leggy"..ie long stalks and dont look very strong. Do you know what we may have done wrong? How do we make them stronger? When do we plant them out in our veg bed/ should we have done that to start with? Thanks in advance.

If just plant them out. If you have a fleece, cover them. I just plant the seeds in situ
