Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I am on disability allowance. I'm planing to live in a mobile home on a plot of land on the family farm. I have been told that I will inherit the plot of land in the future.

When should I inform the Department? How are they likely to respond?

When you inherit the plot of land and it’s all signed off on and it’s yours you can inform the Dept. Not one minute before that.

If you are living on the plot that you inherit, it will not impact on your entitlement to Disability Allowance, and therefore you would not be required to report it.

But if the property has been put into your name before you start living on it, it will be assessed on the value of the property, and would be reportable. If this is the case, depending on the value of the property, it could result in you losing your Disability Allowance.
