Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Who or what moment inspired you to love nature?

One of my earliest memories is a snowy year in the 80s ( giving my age away now :pac: ). My father, God rest his soul, put breadcrumbs outside our kitchen window for the birds. We gathered around the sill in quiet anticipation. When they came, I never knew such vivid colours existed, bull finches, gold finches, blue tits but to name but a few. In that little moment, unbeknownst to him, he opened my eyes and shaped my world.

We’ve all had those all too precious, fleeting, moments, an awaking, or a gift bestowed unto us by another.

Can you describe the moment you fell in love with nature?

I always had a fleeting interest in nature (& gardening) when growing up never gave it too much attention
.....so tbh what made me sit up and take a more conscious interest is BBC's springwatch/autumnwatch, they've made accessible nature (your back garden & local woodlands) so much more interesting

St. Francis and his habit of preaching to the birds.
