    Something bugging me.

    F connector coupler for satellite.

    Why is one threaded section always longer than the other?

    "All threaded 'F' barrels are designed for panel or plate mounting, so one end needs to be longer to accommodate the panel thickness. They are supplied with nuts and washers (when available) in case customer wants to mount them on a panel."
