I used to be a person who hated small talk but I have to say I miss it now, I feel like we're robots in shops and we're all afraid to talk to each other.

Even on the street it's like people have a fear of stopping to talk.

I really hate that we seem to becoming less friendly. :(

I think people are more inclined to engage in small talk now, as its easy to know what to talk about. I find there is a lot more small talk now.

More small talk during a lockdown seems difficult

I haven't spoken to anyone face to face in 8 weeks. Can't say it bothers me too much.

It'll be twice as bad if the masks take off in a big way

Hopefully more empathy in society on the back of this.

That's true, then you can't even tell if someone is smiling or not.

I'm honestly not finding that, I'm finding more paranoia and anger.

A few weirdos going round like they're on the set of Contagion

    To be expected

Apart from that everyone extra friendly

I miss Talk Talk, their lead singer died not too long ago, but I've found people have been saying hello as they walk past in my local park in Dublin, which is unusual but kind of nice.

I'm really enjoying this lockdown and social distancing and not having to listen to anyones small talk. Hope it lasts.
