Yeah, he was unlucky enough to run into an overbearing asshole when he was stoned and trying to pass funny money. Being killed for it was a bit unnecessary.

The world is not a lesser place for his passing, I'm certain - unless he really got his shiyt together over the past four / five years and made a huge effort in his community - did he? I heard some mumbling about that, but nothing I could find.
Anyway, perhaps the day in question he had a relapse into scumbaggery.
