I thought the large scale hydroxychloroquine trial was a bust? It seem to do more harm than good

Despite early signs, it seems it just doesn't cut it.

Otoh, the French noticed that heavy smokers were less likely to catch it and go down with it.
I don't see the WHO recommending smoking, though.

So why is he still pushing it?

No well I can't say smoking would help people's health in general.

ive heard prof delores cahill talk about this drug. I believe her opinion on it when she says its been used, safely & not connected to any deaths, for around 60 years. Arthritis suffers use it apparently.

Used in Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, some cancers (I think) and as a Malaria treatment/prevention. It’s fairly safe, but when taking it a long time you need usual liver, kidney checks etc.

FFS, could you imagine if Trump was in charge of the Administration that had overseen the Children's Hospital - it would have been all his fault then.

Trump is a great lad as far as I can see as he gets up the nose of Duffy and his sheep following.
The gas thing is its a subject that has nothing to do with them anyway.

This guy thinks he is a fecking expert in everything because he read some rubbish in forums with zero evidence.
    Fauci seems eminently sensible

The Ireland New Zealand comparisons are pretty ridiculous. Not comparing like with like.

HOW DARE THIS RACIST BIGOT SAY ANYTHING REMOTELY POSITIVE ABOUT TRUMP !!

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,636 ✭✭✭urgelgru

People calling for Trump to be spoken of in respectful terms should have a look at the way he talks about people on his Twitter feed!

Bush II concerned me greatly, as did Reagan - both sub-optimal in the intelligence stakes.

I wonder what this guy's favourite flavour bleach is?

I’ve watched a couple of BBC docs on treating Covid patients, following 5 patients who got it badly from admission to recovery or death. One elderly man survived against the odds, so did a transplantee, an elderly man died due to relentless fibrosis of lungs, and a young patient badly affected recovered literally overnight having been given Remdesivir. Incidentally the man who died had refused it. One comforting fact is that even at their worst, the patients were fairly sanguine and not too distressed.

Remdesivir definitely seems really promising, I know new York were desperately looking for supplies. They are running very short.
But it isn't a magic pill.
