I had 900 notes on my iPhone, some of them really important to me...passwords, screenshots from work, numbers etc. Yesterday something strange happened...all my yahoo emails on the phone just disappeared. Then I noticed all the notes were wiped.

The emails have since reappeared. But I can’t get the notes back on phone or iPad. I’m fairly sure yahoo was used to save them. I’ve toggled notes on and off, deleted and reinstalled the account on both devices. Rebooted the devices. Anything google has suggested. Contacted Apple support. No joy.

I had been prompted to buy more iCloud storage as I was running it but not sure this is relevant? Deleted larger video files
    to make space.

Just wondering what I can do now, if anything. Many thanks.

Have you tried logging in to iCloud.com to see if they’re backed up there?

Make sure Yahoo notes are enabled: Settings > Passwords & Accounts > (Yahoo a/c) > enable Notes.
Even if they don't show up immediately, IMAP saved notes should be right there in your email, usually as a folder called "Notes", which you should be able to access from Mail (look at the sub folders of the Yahoo mailbox) or logging into your Yahoo account.
