If it's this one - I've the exact one, absolutely zero regrets! I love it. The monitor stand that comes with it is the only negative, but I use VESA mount so all good.

It ticked all the boxes for me.
    1440p
    144hz
    IPS
Unofficially G-Sync Compatible (well, freesync but it works)

(and it's also 50 quid cheaper than when I got it last year..)

    Cheers dude. Looks the business.

I can't see anything to compete with it for the price point.

Was looking at the LG 850 for 475 euro but don't see any reason to justify the extra price.

I might pull the trigger as I can't find anything offering the same value and the view sonic with similar spec is a bit hard to find

Ill have everything this week so need to start going on it.

Any other recommendations for the price? Or up to 475 ish?

    What about the Pixio PX7?

    Or this iiyama ultrawide?

Great price for the spec alright. Not long ago those were over a grand.

Still that resolution is around 50% more demanding than 2560x1440.

2080ti or bust with a monitor like that.

Even if you were playing games in windowed mode? Brother was looking at it as well but he has a 2070Super.

You could get by with that I'm sure but you will be lowering settings and most likely still not hitting 144 FPS.

    2560x1440/144hz is a much better match for a 2070S.

I told him to get two 1440P monitors over the ultrawide. At least that way he can just game at full screen on one monitor.

I guess 2560x1440 bordered is an option on those monitors for more demanding games. I hadn't really considered that.

Personal preference really. Some here have the ultrawides and love them.

    I'd sooner have 2 x 2560x1440 myself.

whats the appeal of dual monitors for gaming, wouldn't a triple set up make more sense if you are going that route?
I have an ultrawide and love it but I say this now but those super ultrawides look crazy but I probably would love that as well if I had one :)
