    I can’t count to 1, so I’ve got a wee bit of a list :D

    1. End lifetime tenancies for social housing; reviewed every two years, and if you’ve got too much space, you have no choice but to move into a smaller home. Anyone with two or more criminal convictions automatically lifetime barred from social housing (if you don’t want to make a meaningful contribution to society, you don’t get to benefit from it). If you live in social housing unless you’re retired, severely disabled or are caring for a severely disabled child, you must work at least 20 hours per week, either paid or voluntary (because I’m sick to death if my neighbours having parties 7 days a week and lying bed all day while I’m working). Priority on lists to essential workers, no right of refusal on location and no sale to tenants.

    2. Anyone claiming dole must either be in training, education or voluntary work after 12 weeks.

    3. Introduce noise control. If your neighbours are getting up to pay a mortgage and you’re sitting on your arse on the taxpayer, the taxpayer deserves a peaceful nights sleep

    4. Curfew for all children up to the age of 18.

    5. Compulsory education or training until 18

    6. Offer pre apprenticeship courses in school from 14(ish). Not everyone is booksmart but too many kids who would thrive in practical roles are being lost. A degree isn’t the only way to be successful.

    7. Three convictions, you serve the full sentence. With hard labour.

    8. Cap CEO pay. Yes, there’s skills, knowledge and behaviours that make CEOs etc successful, but I genuinely don’t believe that someone should be earning €23,000 a week when one of their employees are earning just €23,000 (or less!) a year. I’m paid ok, but I see too often people like porters, cleaners, etc get paid crap and the managers don’t even look them in the eye when they walk past.

    9. Offer people a paid sabbatical to be used as needed; maternity leave, study leave, travel, Family leave, whatever. Say a maximum of 18 months, not accessible until they’ve been working full time for ten years.

    10. Free childcare for workers. You get the same number of free hours as you work (couples, add both parents together, and divide by two). No free childcare if you’re unemployed. Offer extended hours, so those who dont work the standard M-F week can benefit too.

    11. Compulsory jail term for fraudulent accident claims

    12. Compulsory chemical castration for rapists and sex abusers.

    13. Offer genuine flexible working so if people want to work their hours over 4 days, they can. And stop excluding childfree people from flexible working.

    14. Remove the native ethnic wandering class from the minority list.

I second all of the above!

Plus, I’d cap social welfare. It’s too attractive in its current form. A voucher system for unemployed after 12 months at a reduced rate. All other payments as they are. Children’s allowance abolished and free school books and supplies, plus school lunch instead.

We can redirect all the money saved straight into the legal system, because that's where it ll be needed!

Legalize marijuana and tax it moderately while having tighter restrictions on alcohol (perhaps an age increase to 21) and tax it higher.

I'd rather have stoned trakkie lads walking round the city than ones on heroin or alcohol.

cant see moving the age would do anything regarding alcohol, would agree with legalization though

Import loads of young women, possibly on the guise of helping them escape oppression, I think you could swing that with a good PR campaign. If I had to choose I'd probably take latinas, maybe from Venezuela I think that's a bad enough place. Probably go middle eastern after that. Good looking women in every part of the world, but let's be real you're getting the best bang for your buck there. Then Africa vs Asia is a toss up. Probably Africa

My friend wants to ban our local GAA club , I want to keep them for entertainment.

He moved to where I live three years ago and when his eldest daughter turned 21 last year he enquired about booking the club for 21st.He was told no , but could book it if he took out family membership, which he did.
When he asked about making a booking again he was refused saying he had to be a member for year. He cancelled his membership and standing order.
Shortly afterwards they rang and asked if he would reconsider .He explained his predicament but they wouldn't allow him book the venue saying he needed wait a year .....till his daughter was 22.

He booked a local hotel for his daughters 21st also posting out invites to the person who refused to allow him book the GAA hall.

    1. Make it legal for tenants to not pay rent and then destroy a landlords property to walk away without consequence.

    2. Give unlimited, unending dole to people who don't wish to go to work.

    Oh wait.....

I'd introduce a license for landlords. With an illegal conviction, or similar, you lost the license. No more renting.

Well whoever's in charge of that club are right c*nts!

What would I change? Make everyone accountable for their actions, regardless of where they are born. Actual equality. Proper sentencing as well, not this suspended sh*t.

I’ll never forget back in the glory days of Fianna Fáil sometime in the early 2000’s, they returned from their Christmas break (on January 30th), and the first order of business was to give all TD’s a 30% pay increase, which of course was passed by overwhelming majority.

    Just like that. 30% increase..

Obviously no. Christ lad, I'm not some weirdo who would pick latinas over european women. Mediterranean my preference but if someone had more of an eye for the Nordic could I really blame him?

Anyway they come here voluntarily for our friendly emigration stance towards them on the basis that young women are oppressed in poorer countries, and if men want asylum, let's give a good hard think about do we really need em. I mean bottom line, if that was how it was run in the UK for the last 20 years, do you think there'd be a Brexit?

They are not really loaning anything from what I can tell. A new and fully paid up member who wanted to avail of a facility at the club..to celebrate an occasion with friends and family. He was refused this. If anything they should be glad as it will bring revenue to the club and enable the member to become more involved from the get go in the more ‘social’ aspects of the club.

Would they want to stop a new member and his kid from traveling on the club bus to an away game, because they are ‘new’ ?

Would they insist a new member brings their own drinks when the club provides drinks to the long term members / players at half time of games ?

Massive programme of social and affordable housing. Remove the over-controlling dead hand of the Department of Housing. Encourage, learn from and give further scope to exemplary housing organisations like O'Cualann.
Deductions of rents for those in Social Housing or from wages for those in employment. Verified noise or nuisance infringements or a specified number of criminal convictions to mean automatic voiding of tenancy. Adequate practical powers to Councils or Housing Bodies to remove tenants. No more tenant purchase schemes. More housing by exemplary organisations like Cualann.
Provide tenancy training in managing household finances and in Parenting.

Reduction of number of TDs by at least a half by enlarging constituencies but maintaining PR system. Maximum one Minister of State or per Department and no new Departments except by referendum. Introduce local referenda as in Switzerland.

There's a good chance that a global pandemic and its impact on AirBnB has achieved more for Irish housing than Fine Gael.

    That's refugees...or asylum seekers...more men than women....its only 2:1 tho

    https://www.asylumineurope.org/reports/country/republic-ireland/statistics

Also the above year there was only 3000k roughly applicants and 70% were rejected.

Honestly if you are worried about competition in the dating world from a refugee man from a war torn country.....i don't know what to tell you..you may have bigger problems.
