A question about All Tomorrows Parties. Did the user who nominated it, specifically choose that live performance? It's just that I had initially assumed that it was going to be the original Velvet Underground version.

    It was requested

Scores submitted for Round 7. An excellent list, with over half of the songs getting 14/20 or more from me. The two zeroes aren't even bad songs, just one that didn't have enough female vocals and one that only seems to exist as a very short live recording.

    Score #
    20 1
    18 4
    16 5
    14 4
    12 5
    10 2
    8 1
    6 2
    4 0
    2 0

I’m having a little giggle to myself.

Every time I read Irish Aris’ PMs, I do so in a Greek accent and pretend he’s giving me Greece’s Eurovision results.

    :D

    Part 7

    Doll Parts - Hole

I read this as "Dolly Parton's..." perhaps I should go to bed before I cast judgement on part 7

My allocation after 7 rounds submitted.

I'm finding myself very very harsh on two gender duets.
    Really enjoying this though.

A little better with Round 6. Average of 12.24.

    1 x 6 points
    3 x 15 points

15 is as high as I went though.

Im taking a few days off to catch up on inputting scores and finish the final 2 playlists. We’re only halfway and have been doing this a week already.

There's one song in Playlist 8, which happens to be my favourite song of all-time, but I'm forced to give it a 0, because its very much a male lead with female harmonies and backing vocals, and it kills me to do it, but sadly it doesn't belong in this comp...

    giphy.gif

Otherwise, its probably the strongest playlist of the competiton thus far

I know this is a tangent but...

There's no such thing as a nice excel pivot table, they're the spawn of Satan! Don't be tricked, don't trust it, don't let it into your house, don't feed it after midnight!

Fair play Strawbs, monumental effort so far! Really appreciate it :)

They are without doubt the most useful feature of any piece of software I have ever used in my entire career. I genuinely couldn't do my job without them!

Pivot tables are an absolute mess on the touch site

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 16,287 Mod ✭✭✭✭quickbeam

lassykk gets +10 starting on the next Sheep I run (or -10 if it's a Peehs) for his support of pivot tables.

    ShaneU - that's Boards' fault. Don't knock Excel! :)

I've never actually run a Sheep or Peehs

There's pivot tables on boards? Jesus the site barely loads a basic text page - it must really struggle under the burden of a pivot table ;)

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,069 ✭✭✭Irish Aris

I like pivot tables, them and the vlook up function are my two most common excel tools
Also I was recently introduced to the concepts of power pivots and power queries and my mind is blown!!!

Power pivots? We need to talk Aris! :)

I'll send you a pm with a guy's youtube channel that has videos on how to do these things. Some of them are a bit long but he explains things very well!!

Are you all actually discussing your favourite spreadsheet features...

Could I request a link to this YouTube guru also please.
There are several out there and they are easy to find but if there is someone who comes highly recommended, then I would start there.
