Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The author was a leading British naturalist, author and illustrator and I have no reason to doubt the details from his diary. I haven't done any fishing in decades and smoked salmon at Christmas is the nearest I get to the fish, but the entry for May 14th 1943 got me wondering what's the current situation at the weir in Galway?

If people only knew the extent of the mismangement and neglect of our rivers and lakes by various state and semi-state agencies that detroyed so many wonderfull game fisheries and their natural bouties:(0
