    ,

Looking for a bit of help as im starting to pull my hair out.
1.) Im looking for a location for a drive through coffee container either private land like a pub car park, shopping center car park or land owned by council like a car park or bottle bank, which leads me on to point 2.
2.) If I were to find a location that is run by the council how would i go about getting permission to use that space.

    Thanks in advance.

    Contact the Council maybe?

You'll need to set up your haccp and have your work environment inspected by the HSE, your coffee station will probably be considered a kitchen and will have to pass rigourous testing.

Consider how you plan to connect to services and in particular how you plan to deal with waste and waste water.

I'd avoid pub or retail car parks, they are eager to open up as soon as possible and you will be competing for their business. They'll push you out as soon as they get close to opening.

Talk to the people who run Thru The Green which is in Dundrum/Windy Arbour in a pub carpark.

Challenging time to set up a new business, but definitely an opportune one, for the right model.

The biggest concern your going to have is social distancing. If your setting up in a carpark etc, you will need to mark out 2m spacing for queues etc

Don't forget to add in a much increased cost for PPE & Hygiene products. Have you built this into your business plan?

I am working on the business plan as we speak and this extra cost for PPE is a very big chunk of change. Before Covid-19 the business model and plan was quite straight forward but now is when i have to either push through and take the chance or hold off to see what the future holds for our economy, gathering as much info as possible.

There is always opportunity during and after an economic earthquake, you just have to be sure you have the right product, the right place at the right time. Easier said than done of course.

Identify what has changed since before Covid that directly effects your business plan, and then see if you can adapt. I you can't, then have a serious think before committing your money.

    Just my two cents!
