Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hive Hot Water - what do I need to do e.g. motorised valves

    Hi

We got Hive in a couple of years back and, at the time, the installer told us we would have to get some plumbing work done before we could have the hot water feature/zone i.e. we can control the heating for the entire house as one zone.

Does anyone know what the requirements are to be able to operate the hot water feature? By that I mean what plumbing work we’d actually need to get done. It’s a standard gas heating system with a hot water tank in the hot press, pumps etc. attached. I’ve seen a few mentions of motorised valves.

    Thanks

In some houses extra pipe work is needed to be able to have hot water and radiators heating separately. Then you would have 2 motorised valves for each circuit. These motorised valves are powered by the hive and through thermostats.
It's normally a straight forward to do and there is a grant available of 700 euro to get done if your house was built before 2006 through seai.
