I got this pump last winter from a customer who hates repairs and prefers to replace. He doesn't know if it can be made to work.

Anyway, capacitor reading 3 mf instead of 7. If I cross the middle brown and blue connectors it kicks into life.

Any other checks I can do or should I bin it?

Well I got it stripped down. Magnet float was busted and sticking on one side. Repair kits seem expensive, so I'll see if I can make up something with a bit of small bore pipe and a magnet.

Nor sure I'll ever use it, but will give me something to do.
