I saw them, they’re troll accounts. Click on the profile, there’s no pictures, no friends, no posts. They’re accounts that were created in the last 24 hours to stir up trouble. And it’s working.

Other innocent people will end up getting hurt over this, mark my words.

I'm honestly scared this could lead to a lot more violence, cork has really been going downhill this last year even.

Don't really know why, lack of enforcement? Lack of parenting? Whatever it is needs to be sorted now and yes leo should make a speech on it. It doesn't have to be racially motivated, it most likely isnt.

Leo needs to make a speech against scum violence and take a dedicated section on TV to drag more people's attention to it but who knows that mightn't do any good either.

Whatever it is, I hope this isn't the start of countless stabbings.

It is such a cowardly thing to have done. At least the video can be used against them. Glad they were caught quickly and that he seems to be out of any real danger. It was really only a matter of time before it escalated from a few fights to this unfortunately. The gangs have been going around for quite a while.

I'm encouraging no such thing. I have observed what has happened elsewhere and making a reasonable supposition that this will happen here. Do really believe it won't?

Have edited this post to point out that I'm being told that is a second video with different lads kicking the head off another youngfella from last week in Limerick. Very similar situation but apparently they knew each other whereas the Ballincollig lads just went to Carrigaline to start sh!t with whoever.

They just jumped him unprovoked. Hopefully there's gonna be four youngfellas on their way to Oberstown in the morning.

Just because I don't want to mislead anyone with incorrect information, I was sent two videos together and they're actually separate incidents. One was from Limerick last week and was racially motivated, this just happened to be several black lads also attacking one white lad with similar accents and all.

Another edit here to reflect that these posts are from a now-deleted account which was inciting violence.

I’m more worried about innocent people of all races getting hurt in the crossfires from this. Tensions are now so high that I can see any minor misunderstanding turning into violent rows as ‘revenge’.

I wonder will the 220 route be put under the spotlight now? Does anyone genuinely know if there is a need for a route from Ballincollig to Carrigaline? Anytime I’m ever on it I (and most others) get off in town and others get on to goto Ballincollig. Rarely seen anyone stay on.

There is no "solution". Social and racial discord is now inevitable.

Wealthy and upper-middle class whites will self-segregate as much as possible. Gradually more blacks will escape their "[relative] poverty" and move up the social ladder. The lower classes of both colours will bear the brunt of the disharmony.

I don't see those tweets as frightening at all. I see them for what they are. A sign that that some young fellas watched Straight Outa Crompton too many times. I feel sorry for them that they have been so easily brainwashed into thinking that they are 'Gang Kingpins' in this manner. That same account was praising Gemma O’Doherty & the IRA last week, it’s a fake troll account that tweets controversial opinions purely to stir up drama and trouble.

I haven’t seen one black person anywhere online condone or support what happened last night. I did see a lot of posts saying how disgusted they were and they want nothing to do with that kind of behaviour though.
Feel sorry for the good, genuine people out there who are now going to be negatively affected by the repercussions of all of this.

Everytime I have ever gotten the bus it has been late. And I get the 220 6/7 times during a normal week.
