Morning guys, looking to put in extra 2 plug sockets in the garden.

A set half way and a set at the end.

    Garden is 30mt

It will be for a pund pump on all time and at the far end a hoover and a power washer not at the same time.

Will 2.5mm Swa cable be enough ?

Cable will be run along top of a wall.

Is it going to be connected to its own mcb/rcbo at the consumer unit or connected to radial circuit, 30m is the length of tha garden but whats whats the total distance to the consumer unit, whats the rating of the MCB/rcbo.

2.5 swa would have voltage drop of around 18mV/A/m so on a normal 20a radial it would exceed the max voltage drop permissable at 30m without even adding in the distance to the consumer unit.

It has its own rcb on the fuse box..

Its about an extra 10 meters to that .

So I would need to go 4mm or above on the cable. ?

It would be best to ask the electrician who will be installing it.
