Responding to multiple people in an email ?

Simple enough question.

I get emails from a client with mulitple people CC'd in them.

When i respond, i sometimes forget to manually add in the CC'd individuals to the response.

Should I tell the client they should include the other people in the To: field ? So will the email default towards responding to the whole group ? Or is there another more elegant solution ?

If you are using outlook, you could click reply all as opposed to reply??

You would never need to manually add anyone then?

or am i missing something basic?

Yeah thanks mate. Using gmail. Didn't know about reply all function.

I wish the reply all was the default in Gmail. It's easy enough to just hit the normal reply by mistake if in a hurry.
First world problem I know but realistically I would say I want to reply all the vast majority of the time.

Happily, you can make it the default!
Go to settings, it is the 5th item down on the General page

Of course this does beg the question - do you really need to CC everyone all the time?

Sometimes it's appropriate, but other times it really isn't.
