I had this app preinstalled on my old galaxy j3.

Does the Samsung A10 have this app installed? I have tried searching the apps but can't find it. Am I missing something?

    Thank you in advance.:)

It got replaced by Samsung's One UI in January 2017.

Is that the equivalent app for resetting home screen layout? Is that listed in system apps in settings?

Yep, search the settings menu for one ui home and clear the storage on it. It'll put it back the way it was on day 1 layout wise.

Then search the settings menu again for Default apps - choose One UI home as the default launcher if it's not already.

    Thank you very much.

One question, I recently purchased a new phone, and got a notification about installing software updates, just wondering what do these usually do and are they safe?

    Thanks.

Any software updates from Samsung or from the play store are safe to install. Recommended even.
