An elderly friend whom I can't visit has bought a Google Chromebook.

Over the telephone, they are describing what they see on the screen.

The Google Chrome symbol is nowhere on the screen.

So, how can they access Google Chrome browser on a Chromebook?

And how can they create a shortcut to it on the screen?

They're also having a problem connecting to the internet coz IPv6 isn't loading. Virgin told me that they made need to change this to IPv4, but remotely. That's another story.

    Thanks.

    D.

Just been talking to my elderly friend again.

In the bottom left hand corner of his Chromebook screen, unlike in the first video above, there is no Apps launcher icon. There is only Shut Down, Add User.

The apps launcher icon is nowhere to be seen on the screen.

    Where might it be found?

    Thanks.

    And they're having internet problems?

Sounds like they arent signed in, so they won't see anything. You need to login to a google account to start off.
