    Hi there

Interested in the 55 inch Q85R, and some advise with soundbar/set-up.

I read that there is a money off offer on Panasonic SC-HTB900  soundbarwith any 4K TV, bringing it down to £199. Can I avail of this with this tv?

Other option I was considering was to get an amp for the Monitor Audio Bronze 2 Speakers I got from you recently but haven't opened yet. Something like the Yamaha RN602 perhaps? Maybe something a bit cheaper if you could recommend.

I am not really an  audiophile. Current set-up is a 39" Panasonic tv I got off you guys probably 6 years ago. I don't have a huge amount of space currently, but that is likely to change in the next year so would rather get the best set-up.

EUR price on the tv seems the better option, but could you quote me for it with either the soundbar or an amp - delivered to North Dublin.

    Many thanks

    Hi RIALT01,

    Thanks for the post!

The price on the Panasonic SCHTB900 has actually increased to £600 but we could do the £400 voucher on to bring it to £299. The voucher is only available in sterling though so if you wanted to avail of the euro price on the TV we would need to process the order in two different transactions for euro and sterling!

I would recommend using the Monitor Audio Bronze 2s through as this will give you a better sound for the front and you can build a system up as you go with a centre channel, rears and a sub.

I would recommend even an AV Receiver as this would allow you to connect the TV via HDMI and also allow more speakers to be added on with a surround system!

If you wanted to stick with the RN602 I could do one for £365/399 euro.

For an AV receiver I would recommend the Sony STRDN1080 and I could do one of these for £409/479 euro!

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    Morning David

Thanks for that. Looking into the sound a bit more, I think a soundbar will do. Too many cables involved otherwise, especially with a young child.

Re: the Panasonic soundbar, is that as good a bang for my buck I am going to get at that price? Is there a Canton 75 that is meant to be the business?

Once I decide on the soundbar I am ready to pull the trigger. Only other question I had was could you take the speakers back? Bought them week of 11th May and the box went straight into a spare room when delivered.

    Cheers

    Hi RIALTO1,

Thanks for getting back to me!

The Panasonic is a fantastic soundbar and would give a great sound especially with the wireless subwoofer!

There is a Canton DM76 at £399/429 euro which is a soundbase. This means the TV can sit on top of it and the sub drivers are built into the unit. The Canton soundbases do sound incredible and give great clarity especially for vocals!

    https://www.richersounds.ie/p-204112-canton-dm76-black-glass-sound-base.aspx?swapstore=1

On the return of the speakers, we normally offer a return within 14 days but if they are unopened you can return them to the store and we will accept return for a refund.

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    David

Thanks David. Happy to go with the TV and the Panasonic soundbar then. I'm in North Dublin so returning to the Belfast store isn't the easiest. I don't suppose the delivery guy could take it back?

I'm travelling at the moment but will drop an email later on this evening to confirm.

    Thanks
    Owen

    Hi guys

Took delivery before lunch of the new TV and soundbar. I make it about 26 hours from placing the order to delivery to Dublin - some service!

Will have to wait to the weekend to get set-up, can;t wait.

    cheers
