It's going to be a huge explosion. If it's aborted the astronauts might end up in Shannon.

All the information is wrong here. Its launching at 8.30pm tonight not 2 hrs.

Do you have tonights lotto numbers if you can predict an explosion.

West coast of ireland is one of many recovery zones depending on the time they abort, if its needed.

So is this like the other day, where we might see it near the moon?

Might put a sly bet on another scrubbed launch judging by the weather forecast unfortunately.

its unlikely its going to be too bright at 8.40 to see it sadly.

And the “Ireland abort window” only lasts for 15 Seconds.

Thread title is misleading and wrong. Launch window is 15:22 EDT. It is 10:34 EDT now

I can't believe they can find people to volunteer for this stuff. Fair play to them. You wouldn't catch me on a tincan set ontop of half a million litres of propellant.

They ain't volunteers they're getting paid

Bruh they are paid bank and would you not go to space? I’d go to space.

I’d be very nervous about the prototype that blew up the other day though lol

Might put a bet on the launch being postponed on the grounds that America burns tonight.

How did we do it without space?

Waste of time, fuel and money. Just another step to Elon cluttering near space with hundreds of his satellites and space junk. Not content with covering the planet in sh1t we are now filling space with it.

Link doesn't work, just put the code, i.e. EL860Ivpct0 between the Youtube tags, not the complete URL ...

Or we could be guaranteeing our survival as a species.

Imagine our first ancestors pondering leaving Africa for the first time thought:
"Stupid Fred Flintstone always wanting to take another step with his boats and his wheel. Not content with covering the continent in his rubbish"

Bit late to the party, earth is already cluttered with space junk.

Maybe Elon could create something to help clear some of it up?

Launch at 8.22pm Irish time, but what time would it be visible in Ireland?

Minutes afterward if at all. By that point they will he miles up.

Is it likely to be visible at all with it being so bright? Or will you be able to see it burning fuel

Tbh i doubt it. I pretty much gave up astronomy because any time there was an exciting event it was cloudy over Ireland.

There's a certain irony that this time there won't be a cloud in the sky but still won't see anything.

    Where are you getting this?

    According to this site: https://www.meteorwatch.org/crew-dragon-watch-the-launch-then-see-it-fly-over-uk/#more-9006
Unlike the earlier scrubbed launch on Wednesday, you won’t see the craft over the UK 15 – 20 minutes later, but you may be able to see it pass over the UK/ Europe around 22:15 UK time the same evening. Please see spotting info further down this page
