Firestick works on small tv through HDMI socket no prob but won't work on main LG TV. Sky works fine but if I plug out sky and use same port for firestick no signal, used different HDMI cables, tried other ports but same,no signal. Any advice, think LG TV is acting up maybe, menus slow or sometimes freeze when plug in firestick too.

Are you using mains power for the Fire stick?

On other small tv it works fine so guessing the LG TV is the problem!

Try cold booting the TV (unplug it, not just turn it off for 2 mins).

If that doesnt work it may be that your TV is on a VERY old version of the HDMI spec.

Tried that,it's a 2016/17 43 inch of smart tv do didn't think that's the problem. The smaller tv it works on is much older!
