Salinas being eaten

Hi, as above, I’ve put down slug pellets and sprayed them but they are hardly recognisable. Any tips? Thanks.

Slug pellets are utterly evil, they don't kill only slugs and snails, but other beneficial wildlife, too, like hedgehogs and birds.

You can use beer traps (gross, but extremely effective), or you can use copper bands.

I think these slug pellets are past their sell by date, killing nothing but I take your point not something I sprinkle around the garden just in that particular spot. Nothing else in my garden is being eaten just the Dahlias, was wondering if it could be some other insect? but I'm seeing nothing.
