Best option for sending 3kg parcel to US?

Hi all, Tried to post a 3kg parcel yesterday but An Post told me they couldn't do it over Covid restrictions. They said my only option was DHL for €80! Surely there is a cheaper alternative than that! It's a college thesis and I need to get it to the US urgently.
