Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Recessed shower mixer not working

    Hey everyone,

I have a shower mixer recessed in the wall not working. It is connected to a pump, I got that tested over the weekend and is working fine.

I have called different plumbers and all are reluctant to attempt to fix it, are these things are a nightmare to repair?

The switch to turn on the water is gone very stiff, i suspect that is where the issue is. From reading around, there is a cartridge I can possibly replace? Would appreciate any advice.

The hard part is tracking down the parts. Have you any idea of the make & model of the shower? It might say Aqualisa on the bottom of the back plate but I can't be sure

It says Aquatherm at the bottom of the plate. I haven’t been able to find any parts for that brand online.

I'd imagine this is why you are having trouble getting any plumber interested in the job. Much as I hate them, the shower doctors in park west ind estate might be you best bet on sourcing a part. You might end up needing a new shower. If this is the case then I'd engage a good plumber rather than the shower doctor engineers

Thanks for your advice. Care to say why you dislike the shower doctors?
